About the history of the instrument...

On the right: the original instrument

"Giovanni Tesler Ancona 1615", possibly one of the "Silvius Leopold Weiss" lutes.

Probably, Weiss had this theorbo changed into a baroque lute.

Tuning: F', G', A', B', C, D, E, F, Gg, Aa, dd, ff, a, d'.

String lengths: 7 courses 80-87cm, 7 diapasons 160-170 cm, 65 ribs.

Very good sounding and loud continuo instrument!
